The Goodwood Park Healthcare Group is one of the most progressive NGO’s supporting people with various health needs including; mental health, disability, brain injury, aged/dementia care and/or people on release from prison
It all began in 1987, with the shift in legislation to close psychiatric hospitals, and a progressive shift to community care. Four nurses realised that many people were ill-equipped for community living with minimal support, so took the opportunity to partner together to provide high quality care in a community setting. This vision quickly grew into a highly successful and innovative service.
Over the last 40 years, The Goodwood Park Healthcare group has continued to develop residential and community specialised services supporting people with a variety of complex needs. We believe that all people deserve to live their best lives, have equal opportunities, and realise their dreams. We are committed to working with you and your whanau to provide flexible personalised care that reflects the choices you have made.
In 2007, Goodwood Park Healthcare Group expanded further, opening Kelston Services in response to a request from ACC for specialized services for TBI clients.

Our approach is centered around each client’s needs, with a focus on independence, participation, and community integration.

Our dedicated team will work collaboratively with you and your family/whanau to ensure that all support is tailored to your individual needs, in a safe and nurturing environment. We encourage people to engage in meaningful activities that boost quality of life, support greater independence, and when possible, prepare them for a smooth transition in the community.
We understand that rehabilitation means different things to different people. For some, it is about recovery, while for others, it is about learning to cope with challenges or maintaining their well-being. Whatever the need, we are here to support each person, on their unique journey.
